Neuries

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neuries (abbreviation: Nrs. ) Is a quantity designation for paper , whereby the following applies: 1 Neuries = 10 book = 1000 sheets.

use

The name is common in the paper price lists of paper wholesalers and is used when ordering paper and cardboard in print shops . NEUries distinguishes the current term from the historical term Ries , which stood for 500 sheets.

meaning

The term neuries is of great economic relevance because paper and cardboard prices are staggered in terms of quantity (= the more you buy, the lower the price per sheet ). If you buy less than one Neuries (i.e. less than 1000 sheets) of a type of paper or cardboard , a higher price is to be expected (price scale is then “from 500 sheets” and for even smaller quantities “from 1 original package” or “less than 1 original package” ").

The information "kg per number" is important for logistics . B. "21" means that 1000 sheets weigh 21 kg. All price information in paper price lists is based on 1000 sheets, which enables a direct comparison of the quantity scale. The term neuries is not used for envelopes, bags and cardboard.
