Neustadt 442 (Landshut)

The medieval building Neustadt 442 in the old town of Landshut was demolished in 2012. The building was 8.75 m wide and had a longitudinal division and a passage to the courtyard. The structure of the house, including the roof structure that was preserved until 2012, dates back to 1383/84. Some areas probably went back to the foundation of the new town in the 13th century. Originally the house had two storeys with a knee-high floor. The house was later added a third floor. The rather poor building, first mentioned in a document in 1474, was probably used as a forge for centuries.
