Restart (club)

Neustart is an association for probation assistance , conflict resolution and social work that has been active in Austria since 1957 .

The motto of around 1,800 full-time and voluntary association employees is: Life without crime. We help. More than 42,700 clients are looked after in the areas of offense settlement ( conflict resolution ), probation assistance , electronically monitored house arrest, charitable services , assistance for released prisoners, residential care, youth welfare , litigation support, crime prevention . On behalf of the state - especially judicial policy - contributions to public security are made together with the courts, the penal system and the social authorities. Concrete help in dealing with the acute crisis situation is also provided to perpetrators and victims.

Associations with the same name

In Baden-Württemberg , an association of the same name was the sole shareholder of the Neustart non-profit GmbH from 2007 to 2016 . On December 31, 2016, the state government of Baden-Württemberg terminated the contract with the Neustart company and transferred the probation and judicial assistance to a corporation under public law (BGBW).

An association of the same name has existed in Basel since 1975, which campaigns for the social integration of criminal offenders in the Basel region.
