The Moto Guzzi Nevada is a custom / cruiser motorcycle that was built by Moto Guzzi under the name Nevada from 1991 as a custom version of the V35.

history

The origin of the Nevada is the V35 Florida. It was developed as an inexpensive motorcycle with a displacement of 350 cm³. The basic version had no extras. However, these could be added at an additional cost.

For commercial and marketing reasons it was decided to change the name to the model of the US states. So after California and Florida came Nevada in 1991. The new V35 was thus given a facelift that allowed the model to last well into the 2010s and become the best-selling custom motorcycle in Italy. A version with an already known engine followed with the 750 Nevada.

Thanks to commercial success (although production of the 350 cc was discontinued in 1999) it was decided to produce a new Nevada Classic 750 with only 744 cc. In 2002, a redesign followed with important changes that came from components of the Breva. The air-cooled V2 engine has a displacement of 744 cm³ and develops 36 kW (48 hp) at 6800 rpm. It is equipped with electronic injection, a regulated catalytic converter and a lambda probe.

The last model names were Classic and Aquila nera. A special anniversary version, called "Anniversario", appeared from 2011 to 2013 for the 20th anniversary of the Nevada series. The Nevadas were made until 2016.

In Cuba, the traffic police still use the Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic.
