New Mixed Emotions was a pop duo with Drafi Deutscher and Andreas Martin that existed from the end of 1990 to the beginning of 1992 and was the interim follow-up project to the Drafi Deutscher duo Mixed Emotions with Oliver Simon as a partner of Drafi Deutscher.

In the course of Drafi Deutscher's tour of Germany in 1989, Drafi Deutscher came up with the idea of continuing the duo project with Andreas Martin after the separation from Oliver Simon. Among other things , he was able to celebrate great success with German versions ( You are everything and only with you ) of two mixed emotion songs (by You Want Love and Just for You ) and after Deutscher's separation from Oliver Simon on this German tour by Deutscher Oliver Simon's vocal parts in the “Mixed Emotions” show block have already been taken over.

So following this tour, ie in the course of 1990, an album called Side by Side was released in July 1991 in the new formation under the new name New Mixed Emotions . The album was produced by Father & Son Productions, consisting of Drafi Deutscher and his son René.

With the resulting singles Sensuality (When I Touch You) and Lonely Lover , Deutscher and Martin were able to place themselves very well in the ZDF hit parade. While they landed at number 2 in the February 1991 program with Sensuality (When I Touch You) , they even won the hit parade with Lonely Lover in July 1991 and were accordingly part of the special edition The Highlights of 1991 broadcast in January 1992 .

At the beginning of 1992, Drafi Deutscher and Andreas Martin went their separate ways, as both wanted to devote more time to their solo careers. In 1999 Drafi Deutscher revived the project again under the original name Mixed Emotions in the original formation with Oliver Simon for another album.
