New World Stages is an off-Broadway theater in New York City . The house has five halls.
From 1994 to 2001 the theater was operated as a cinema. After a long period of closure and renovations, the theater was reopened in 2004 under the name "Dodger Stages". In 2006 it became the property of Stage Entertainment , who renamed it "New World Stages". The theater has been part of The Shubert Organization since November 2014.
