Ngaramash

Ngaramasch (also: Ngeremasch , Japanese ゲ レ マ ッ シ ュ , formerly: Saipan Town , Jimusho , Saipon , Sipon , Yubinkyoku ) is a village in the west of the administrative state of Angaur (i.e. an administrative area ) and its administrative seat. The place is on the west coast of the island of Angaur in the island state of Palau in the Pacific .

geography

Ngaramasch is located on the west coast of the island at Angaur Harbor , right next to the runway of the Angaur airfield in the east. The beaches Ngedloch and Elechol ra Ngedloch extend to the south . There is a ferry connection to Koror . In 2009 the population was given as 135 people.

history

During the Second World War , the Battle of Angaur (September 17-30, 1944) was fought around Ngaramasch, as in all of Angaur .

religion

In the southeast of the settlement there is the Catholic Our Lady of the Rosary Church Ngaramasch .
