Nibble (magazine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nibble was an American computer magazine for the Apple II computer. The main topic of the magazine was the programming of the computer. The magazine title means half a byte or four bits and the slogan was The Magazine for Apple II Enthusiasts . Most of Nibble's articles included a listing of a program that was either an application, a computer utility, or a game. In addition, the article described the exact functionality of the program.

The magazine was first published in January 1980 by Mike Harvey . It was originally published eight times a year. From 1984 the magazine was so successful that the publisher could afford to publish the magazine monthly. It was published for another twelve years and the last issue appeared in July 1992. An extension of the magazine was the Macintosh publication Nibble Mac , which was initially part of the original magazine and was later published separately. Most of the magazine's issues, including Nibble Mac , are now available on the publisher's website.
