Nicarete

Nicarete also Nicaretes, Niceratis or Niceras († 440 in Nicomedia ) is a saint.

She left her family to go to Constantinople ; there she followed Saint John Chrysostom . She was a plant healer at the time of the Emperor Flavius Arcadius and is the patroness against stomach ailments, because she is said to have healed Saint John Chrysostom of it.

Nicarete is celebrated on December 27th .
