Nick Gibbs

Nick Gibbs (* 1980 in Sydney ) is an Australian musician, singer and lecturer. His music includes stylistic elements from funk, soul, jazz and reggae.

Gibb studied at Music Southern Cross University in Australia, specializing in singing. He played with Bobby McFerrin , Deborah Carter, Flomega and Felix Elsner , among others . In addition to different singing styles, Gibbs expanded his songwriting in the following years. In addition to his musical engagement in various formations such as Roots to Branches , On the Jazzy Side of Pop and Newtown Jazz Connection , he plays with his own band Nick Gibbs and the Freedom Spirits. In 2013 he released the EP "Comfortable Being" which was produced by the music producer Peter Muller. In 2016, his debut album My mind, it runs away followed, also in cooperation with Peter Muller .

In addition to his work as a musician, he teaches singing at various schools, including the SONG in Oldenburg.
