Nicola Costantino

Nicola Costantino (* 1951 in Bari ) is an Italian engineer and was the university director until 2013. In 2013 he unexpectedly resigned due to differences with the Board of Directors. Acquedotto Pugliese shareholders elected Costantino as chairman of Acquedotto Pugliese .

Life

Nicola Costantino graduated from the University of Bari with a degree in electrical engineering with honors in 1975 . He then became an assistant and contract professor for economics and business organization. In 1987 he became professor of industrial engineering at the University of Salerno and since 1991 he has been teaching at the University of Bari Polytechnic, where he has been working at the 1st Faculty of Engineering since 2002. On October 1, 2009 he was elected rector of the Polytechnic. He wanted to increase the water tax by 6 percent, for which the shareholders refused to approve. Therefore, he left the board in January. After the departure, there were fears that the company would be split up.
