Nicolao Dorati
Nicolao Dorati ( Nicolaus , Niccolo , Nicolò ) (* around 1513 in Granaiola near Lucca , † 1593 in Lucca) was an Italian trombonist , conductor and composer.
He worked in the town chapel of Lucca from 1543, first as a trombonist and from 1557 as Kapellmeister for over twenty years.
He created several books of polyphonic madrigals that meet high standards both stylistically and musically.
