Nicolaus Sietesz

Nicolaus Sietesz ( Polish Mikołaj Szetesza , † 1475 in Cracow ) was a painter and copyist of the Gothic, as well as a cantor and clergyman at the Wawel Cathedral from Sietesz .

He was mainly active in Krakow in the 15th century . There is evidence of his stay in Krakow since 1453. From 1469 he was deputy cantor at Wawel Cathedral. Since 1451 he mainly painted calligraphic miniatures for liturgical books. He had numerous clients from all over Poland.
