Lower Saxon people

Lower Saxony Persons is the title of an online database of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library - Lower Saxony State Library (GWLB) in Hanover . It contains brief information on biographies and literature sources on around 35,000 people who, according to the library, "have a significant relationship to the states of Lower Saxony and Bremen through their place of residence or scientific, intellectual-cultural, political or other activities ."

On its website, the GWLB provides information about the background and details of this database, such as the criteria for selecting people, the biographical information and the creation of the database. On the start page with the search mask , the library also expresses its interest in completing the data and offers a contact e-mail address for relevant information.
