Lower Hungarian bucket

The Lower Hungarian pail and the Upper Hungarian pail were volume measures for liquids and, along with other local bucket measures, for liquids, especially for wine.

  • 1 pail (Lower Hungarian ) = 100 half (Hungarian) = 0.8876 tavern pail (Bavaria) = 2868 Parisian cubic inches = 56 7/9 liters
  • 1 bucket (Upper Hungarian) = 1.19 tavern bucket (Bavaria) = 3824 Parisian cubic inches = 76 2/9 liters
