Nikanor (Hetairos)
Nikanor was one of the hetairoi (companions, friends) of Alexander the Great . In 327 BC In BC Alexander commissioned him to administer Alexandria in Parapamisos . A year later he was appointed satrap of the areas conquered west of the Indus . Shortly afterwards he was killed in an uprising by the Assakans .
