The Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun ( Jap. 日刊工業新聞 , literally "Daily Industry Newspaper") is one of the leading business magazines in Japan and is the publisher Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd. ( 日刊 工業 新聞 社 , Nikkan Kōgyō Shimbunsha ) with headquarters in Tokyo . It reaches a daily circulation of 500,000 copies. The newspaper specializes in general business news, but also covers individual branches of industry such as automotive, electrical engineering, telecommunications and IT.
Apart from the newspaper, the publisher publishes numerous books and the Metro-Guide , organizes trade fairs and seminars . He also works with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization ( UNIDO ), organizing, for example, joint seminars and trade fairs to promote Japanese investments in emerging industrialized countries .
