Nikolaus von Zerssen

Nikolaus von Zerssen (* in the 16th century; † in the 17th century) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in various dioceses.

Life

Nikolaus von Zerssen was born the son of Levin von Zerssen zu Eisbergen and Oldendorf and his wife Anna von Werpup. Heinrich Julius von Zerssen was his brother. After studying in Marburg Nicholas was a canon in Minden and received on 1 February 1582 Münstersche Dompräbende to which the canon Rudolf von Munster in his favor dispensed had. Nikolaus was also canon in Hildesheim and had received the ordination as subdeacon . It is not certain whether he renounced his benefice in 1600 or whether he died in that year.
