Nils P. Heeßel (born around 1970) is a German ancient orientalist .

Life

From 1989 to 1994 he studied Middle Eastern archeology, Assyriology and Egyptology in Berlin and Heidelberg , where he obtained his Magister Artium in 1994, obtained his doctorate in 1999 and in 2009 with the habilitation thesis Die Opferschau in Assur.
