Nimbus film

Founded in 1993, Nimbus Film is the third largest Danish film production company . The owners are the producers Birgitte Hald and Bo Erhardt , as well as the director Thomas Vinterberg .

By 2006, Nimbus Film had produced 22 feature films, including two English-language films, 19 short films, two television films and three documentaries. Nimbus Film was involved in five projects as a co-producer. The films produced by Nimbus have received numerous awards, for example the children's film Kletter-Ida (2002) received eight prizes, including a Transparent Bear at the Berlinale 2002, and Das Fest ( Festen) received the jury award in Cannes in 1998.

Until 2000 the company was based in Copenhagen . Then Nimbus Film moved to the Copenhagen area to Hvidovre in the so-called Filmbyen (film city). Other Danish film production companies are also located there.
