Nipter loop

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nipter Loop describes a part of the tunnel system in the central section of the fortress front Oder-Warthe-Bogen near the village of Nipter (Nietoperek / Poland). The tunnel system is part of a nearly 90 kilometer long German defense line from the Second World War . As part of the tunnel system, the nipter loop comprises nine individual chambers which, among other things, should serve as storage space for ammunition. At the end of the nipter loop is the unfinished A8 armored plant. Together with Panzerwerke 721, 722, 724, 726 and 727, they form the York group .

This group of works is part of 13 groups of works in the fortress front Oder-Warthe-Bogen .
