Nisa Ashgabat is a football club from Ashgabat (12 km east of the ancient city of Nisa ) in Turkmenistan . The club plays in the second Turkmen league. The club plays its home games in the Nisa Stadium . The club was founded in 1994. In the short period of its existence, the club was able to win the championship four times, most recently in 2003. Although the club regularly took part in the continental competitions of the AFC , it never got beyond the group stage or the second round. In 2006, the club rose from bottom of the table in the 2nd division.
