No-do

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

No-Do , short for: Noticiarios y Documentales (Dt .: "News and Documentations"), was a Spanish newsreel that was produced from 1943 to 1981 under state supervision. No-Do thus served as a propaganda tool for the Francoist state. In the course of democratic efforts after Franco's death in 1975, the newsreel became increasingly unpopular, but production was able to hold up until 1981. The public broadcaster RTVE maintains an archive with old issues of No-Do to this day.
