Vũ Thị Mến (born July 10, 1990 in Nam Định ) is a Vietnamese triple jumper .

Athletic career

Vũ Thị Mến gained her first experience in international competitions in 2013 when she finished fourth in the triple jump with 13.60 m at the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw and fifth in the long jump with 5.89 m. Two years later she was fourth in the triple jump at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore with 13.29 m and in 2017 she won the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with a new national record of 14.15 m ahead of Maria Natalia Londa from Indonesia. In 2018 she took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and won the bronze medal there with 13.93 m behind the Kazakh Olga Rypakowa and the Thai Parinya Chuaimaroeng . At the Asian Athletics Championships in Doha in 2019 , she finished sixth with a jump of 13.22 m. In December she won the bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas with 13.55 m behind Chuaimaroeng and the Indonesian Londa and reached fifth place in the long jump with 6.11 m.

In 2015 and 2019 Vũ was Vietnamese champion in the triple jump. She graduated from Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports .
