No. 1 Croydon (formerly the NLA Tower , popularly the 50p Building , the Wedding Cake or the Threepenny Building) is a high-rise office building on Addiscombe Road in Croydon, Greater London , next to East Croydon Railway Station . Designed by Richard Seifert & Partners , it was completed in 1970. It has 24 floors and is 82 meters high. "NLA" stood for "Noble Lowndes Annuities". It was one of several new buildings that were added as Croydon grew in the 1960s. The development of high-rise buildings was later encouraged in the London Plan 2004.

The building can be seen in the Establishing Shot in the opening credits of the 1980s British sitcom Terry and June . It was a location for the interactive film Bandersnatch , as the headquarters of the fictional game developer Tuckersoft.
