Nobel Medal in Physics and Chemistry

The Nobel Medal in Physics and Chemistry is presented to recipients of the Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry . It was designed by the Swedish artist Erik Lindberg .

The medal shows a goddess who resembles Isis as she rises from the clouds with a cornucopia . The inscription reads: Inventas vitam iuvat excoluisse per artes . The name of the respective Nobel Prize winner is engraved on the back.
