The Noctis Labyrinthus ( Latin for " Labyrinth of Night") is the western branch of the rift valley system Valles Marineris on the planet Mars .
The trench network is 1263 kilometers long and up to 5 kilometers deep. It is located a little south of the equator on the Tharsis bulge .
