history
The company was founded by five former IBM employees on April 17, 1969 as Medical Data Sciences Limited and was renamed MDS Health Group Limited in 1973 . Since 1996, it was only MDS Inc. In 2010, the company of the company was Nordion Inc. changed. This name arose from the pharmaceutical company Nordion, which was taken over by MDS in 1991. Nordion has been part of Sotera Health since 2014 .
