In 1940 his son Bjarne took over the management and in the following 20 years expanded the business to include garden furniture and camping accessories. The third generation of the Jørgensen family took over Norrøna in 1971 in the person of Ole Jørgensen. In cooperation with Tomas Carlström, the newly hired product developer, he ensured a leading position in the sales of mountain sports clothing.
