Viking Age ) and the more recent Norrön time (1050-1350), also known as the classic Norrön time . See also Older Scandinavian Studies .
  • In Icelandic and Faroese, norrænn or norrønur is also used generally for "Nordic, Scandinavian", so it has retained the Old Norse meaning "north, from the north" in relation to cultural terms.
