Norsk Maskin Industri

Norsk Maskin Industri (NMI) was founded in 1920 as a cooperation between the two large Norwegian locomotive manufacturers Thunes mekaniske verksted and Hamar Jernstøberi .

After the Second World War , Thunes mekaniske Verksted continued its own locomotive production under its own name until 1973.
