Northlandz is a model railway exhibition facility in Flemington in American state of New Jersey .

The facility was built in the 1970s by Bruce Williams Zaccagnino, who, according to his own account, also worked as a concert musician, computer game programmer and editor and still runs the exhibition today. For a long time, the system with its approx. 800 m² system area in a 5000 m² hall was the largest model railway system in the world, until this 'title' was transferred to the Miniature Wonderland in Hamburg in July 2005 , as the system area there was extended by the completion of the section Scandinavia enlarged to 1300 m².

description

The main system is designed in the nominal size H0 . The dominant feature of the exhibition, which is accessible via an ascending and descending visitor path, is the up to 13 m long bridge structures, several of which often span the deep canyons. The over 100 moving trains are almost exclusively hauled by diesel locomotives and cover a total distance of almost 13 km. The buildings and stilts, some of which appear surreal, are often more impressive than particularly realistic. There are also two smaller exhibition facilities in lane 0 and lane IIm .

In addition to a doll exhibition, picture galleries and showcases with other railway-related exhibits, there is also a small narrow-gauge railway on the outside area.
