Norwegian Aquaculture Center

The Norwegian Aquaculture Center ( Norsk Havbrukssenter AS ) is a visiting and research facility for modern aquaculture .

The Norwegian Aquaculture Center is located in Toft, in the Norwegian municipality of Brønnøy, and cooperates with various fish farming companies. The center opened in 2008. The breeding facility can be reached via a floating jetty. The grounds include a modern feeding platform, automated feeding system, control room, underwater cameras, salmon cages, cod cages and a small aquarium.

The aquaculture center focuses on sustainable breeding and focuses on the environment under the facilities.

School classes, kindergartens, tourists, locals and actors from the aquaculture industry come to visit the facility all year round.

In June 2017, an exhibition on modern aquaculture was opened, which is located in the business premises next to the breeding facility.

The center is chaired by Bjarne Mørk-Eidem , a former MP and Norwegian Minister for Fisheries.
