Notary Academy Baden-Württemberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Baden-Württemberg Notary Academy was located in the justice district in Stuttgart and was initially a study facility for notary candidates in the preparatory service for the career of the Württemberg district notary. The last class of the notary academy graduated from 2007 to 2012. After five years of study, which included both study and practical periods (comparable, for example, to the trainee inspector training in the higher non-technical administrative service), the students with successful completion acquired the qualification for the special career of the Württemberg district notary (entry as a notary representative in salary group A 12 according to the state salary law of Baden-Württemberg (LBesGBW)).

From 2012 to the end of 2017, the notary academy was only responsible for the training of notaries in the state service and also provided Baden-Württemberg notaries and courts with information in the field of international private law. It offered an extensive range of advanced training courses, including lectures, symposia and multi-day conferences on technical and interdisciplinary topics. On January 1, 2018 (the date of the notary reform with the abolition of the official notary in Baden-Württemberg), the notary academy was closed and its tasks were transferred to the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Notaries.
