Fort Nassau
The name Fort Nassau was used by the Dutch for various forts and trading posts in different places around the world.
He referred to the ruling family of the House of Orange-Nassau . Fort Oranje is therefore also a common name for Dutch fortresses. Fort Nassau existed on:

- Fort Nassau (New Jersey) in Gloucester , New Jersey , also built in 1626 for trading with the Indians.
- Fort Nassau (Curaçao) on a hill on the Caribbean island of Curaçao near Willemstad , later converted into a restaurant.
- Fort Nassau (Bahamas) in the Bahamas , then under British control, was the site of an amphibious landing operation in 1775 during the American Revolutionary War .

- Fort Nassau (Netherlands) , in the Netherlands near Aardenburg in Zeeland , originally called Fort Nieuw Terhofstede , built in 1621/22.
