Notices of the American Mathematical Society

The Notices of the American Mathematical Society (Not. Amer. Math. Soc.) Are the membership journals of the American Mathematical Society , which have been published monthly (except for the June / July issue) since 1953.

It publishes overview articles on mathematics in the broadest sense, including cultural influences of mathematics, messages of general interest for the members of the AMS (e.g. news and advertisements of award ceremonies, dates, job advertisements), reviews of books and the media, detailed obituaries, opinion columns and interviews .

Initially, there were seven issues a year and summaries of lectures at the AMS meetings were published.

All issues from 1995 are freely accessible online. AMS members (around 30,000 worldwide) receive the magazine free of charge.

The ISSN is 0002-9920.
