Notino was founded in the Czech Republic in 2004 and expanded to Germany and Austria in 2007.

In 2016, the company was renamed Notino across Europe because the company wanted to create a uniform brand name for all countries. In 2017, Notino bought the German perfumery Mußler Beauty and opened a first Mußler Beauty by Notino branch in the Gerbers shopping center in Stuttgart. There are currently 5 branches in Stuttgart. In 2017, the company's sales were around EUR 275 million.
