Noyon Khutagt

Noyon Khutagt or Dogshin Noyon Khutagt (mong. Догшин ноён хутагт) is an incarnation series (for the term Khutagt, see under Hutuktu ) of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism in the Gobi region of Mongolia . The 1st Noyon Khutagt, Agvaangonchig , was recognized in 1622. To date there are a total of nine representatives.

The fifth representative, Dulduityn Rawdschaa / Danzanravjaa (1803-1856), was a great poet, writer and educator.

The ninth Noyon Khutagt, Danzanluvsantudev (born 1984), was recognized by the 14th Dalai Lama on March 2, 2013 in Dharamsala , India . Its seat will be in the Khamar monastery in the Dorno-Gobi-Aimag in Mongolia .
