Nuffield Council on Bioethics

The Nuffield Council on Bioethics is a British non-profit organization founded in 1991 that deals with bioethical issues.

The council was established by the Nuffield Foundation in 1991 and has been sponsored by the Nuffield Foundation, the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council since 1994. The council has over 20 scientists. His mission includes:

1. Identifying and defining ethical issues raised by recent advances in biology and medicine to serve the public interest

2. Investigating and reporting on these issues with the aim of promoting understanding and discussion among the public

3. the publication of reports and recommendations by the council on these issues.
