Grooving (paper technology)

Grooving or grooving in paper technology means the cutting out of a material chip from thick paper , cardboard or cardboard in order to enable or simplify the folding or bending of the material.

The grooving prevents the material from bursting or breaking when it is folded or folded .

With folded sheets of a certain thickness, the paper can easily break due to the direction of travel . From a grammage of around 170 g / m² you should first use a groove (an indented indentation). A groove can be made for cardboard and cardboard. Groove and groove should not be confused.
