Nanoq Media

Nanoq Media is a Greenlandic media and telecommunications company based in Nuuk .

The Greenlandic word Nanoq means polar bear . Nanoq Media began in 2002 under the name Nuuk TV as one of the first companies worldwide with the encrypted terrestrial transmission of television programs . Today the Danish programs are broadcast by Danmarks Radio , TV2 , Discovery Communications and others. TV advertising is offered for Nuuk, Ilulissat , Qaqortoq , Aasiaat and Qasigiannguit .

In August 2013, Nanoq Media was involved in the establishment of the local broadcaster association Nunatsinni Tusagassiuutilerisut Kattuffiat (NTK).

Until October 2017, Nanoq Media produced its own daily television news under the title Nanoq News , and since September 2016 the radio program Nanoq FM (in Nuuk on 100 MHz and on the Internet).
