Nyheter Idag

Nyheter Idag (“ News Today ”) is a right-wing Swedish online magazine. It was founded in 2014 by Chang Frick and Jakob Bergman .

Content, orientation and classification

The editors claim to uphold "libertarian principles". However, mainly articles are published that portray foreigners, asylum seekers and immigrants as well as the political competition of the Sweden Democrats (SD) party negatively. In a leaked e-mail exchange with the Sweden Democrats, the editors assured that they were “positive” towards the party and did not publish anything that could be disadvantageous for the party.

Expo assigns Nyheter Idag to the "right-wing populist and right-wing extremist alternative media ". According to Sweden's largest news agency, Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå , Nyheter Idag is a xenophobic website.
