The Nzakara dagger is an African dagger . African daggers were developed and used in different countries and by different ethnic groups in Africa as weapons of war, hunting, culture and civil status. The respective designation of the weapon refers to a variant of this weapon type that is assigned to a certain ethnic group .
description
The Nzakara dagger has a straight, double-edged blade. The blade has a continuous central ridge. The blade becomes narrower from the handle to the middle. From the middle to the place it becomes wider and tapered to a point. The guard, handle and pommel are made of ivory on the example described . The pommel is egg-shaped. Decorative lines have been cut to the right and left of the handle on the guard. The Nzankara sword is used by the Nzankara, Kuba and Bandia ethnic groups.
