OBSAI

The term OBSAI describes an open standard for base stations in the field of cellular network technology. The so-called "Open Base Station Architecture Initiative" is an initiative launched by Hyundai , LGE , Nokia , Samsung and ZTE in September 2002 with the aim of reducing development costs.

The OBSAI specifications describe the architecture, the functional descriptions and the minimum requirements to be able to integrate modules in the base station.
