ODEC
ODEC - Swiss Association dipl. Graduates from higher technical schools , is the authoritative association of graduates from higher technical schools in Switzerland .
The association unites the graduates of the higher technical schools in all areas: technology, hospitality, tourism and housekeeping, economy, agriculture and forestry, health, social affairs and adult education, the arts, design, traffic and transport. The ODEC represents their educational interests and offers members a comprehensive range of services. The registered office, including the office, is in Winterthur .
In 2020 the ODEC will represent over 13,000 HF graduates who are affiliated through various associations.
ODEC is the sponsor of the Swiss Committee of EurEta.
history
The association was founded in 1981 as the Swiss Association of Technicians TS (SVTS). With the reform of the higher technical schools, in which the various areas were merged into a single level of education, the association opens up to all graduates of this level of education. In 2006 the club was renamed ODEC.
Magazines
The Bulletin is the association journal of the ODEC. The bulletin mainly deals with the subjects of the educational level of the higher technical schools and is therefore an important PR and marketing tool.
The salary brochure appears every two years and provides information about the salaries, functions, sectors, etc. of the HF graduates.
aims
ODEC is the advocacy group and the authoritative association of graduates HF. The focus and goal of all activities are national and international recognition and the positioning of the graduated HF.
The ongoing topic is the international recognition of the HF degree and consequently also the title awarded to graduates from higher technical schools. The ODEC's proposal is Professional Bachelor .
Overview of the HF degree
There are around 170 higher technical schools in Switzerland, and together they offer the start of more than 400 courses each year. All higher technical schools with the courses offered are summarized in an ODEC database. Some of the educational offers are summarized in an online database. More than 8,500 people complete an HF degree every year. HF graduates can voluntarily register their diploma in the HF register, the HF register can be viewed online and publicly.
