OGLE-2005-BLG-390L is a red dwarf in the constellation Sagittarius, about 21,000 light years from Earth . With an apparent magnitude of 15.7 mag, it can no longer be seen with normal telescopes even under optimal observation conditions. In 2005 a consortium of research institutions (PLANET (head: Jean-Philippe Beaulieu, Paris, and Martin Dominik, St. Andrews), RoboNet (head: Michael Bode, Liverpool, and Keith Horne, St. Andrews), OGLE (head : Andrzej Udalski, Warsaw) and MOA (leader: Phil Yock, Auckland)) an extrasolar planet orbiting this star. This is called OGLE-2005-BLG-390Lb .
