OKPO

The OKPO number ( Russian ОКПО , abbreviation of Общероссийский классификатор предприятий и организаций , literally "National classifier of enterprises and organizations") is an eight-digit serial number allocated by the State Commission for Statistics of the Russian Federation will be awarded and a unique identification of a Russian Company enables. The number is retained for the duration of the economic entity and is entered in the unified public register for companies and companies (EGRPO). Mostly, however, a Russian company is identified via the tax number (INN) or the OGRN code (main state registration number), the OKPO marking is sometimes considered to be “out of date”.
