Hermann Imhof (born April 16, 1953 in Nuremberg ) is a Bavarian politician ( CSU ). From October 2003 to October 2018 he represented the constituency of Nuremberg-East ( Middle Franconia ) as a member of the Bavarian state parliament . His successor as a CSU direct candidate in the district of Nuremberg East was Markus Söder .

education and profession

After attending primary school (1959–1966) and secondary school (secondary school leaving certificate, 1970), Imhof trained as a hotel clerk from 1970 to 1974 . He then did military service and worked as a personnel manager and Caritas director. Until his election to the state parliament he was deputy managing director. From 1978 to 1981 he took a further training course in business administration (VWA) .

Imhof is Roman Catholic, married and has three grown daughters.

politics

Imhof has been a CSU member since 1993. He is a member of the CSU family commission. Until May 2010 he was Deputy State Chairman of the CSA .

From May 1996 to October 2003 Imhof was a city councilor in Nuremberg, where he was the spokesman for youth, family and social affairs. In this role Imhof was the initiator of the Nuremberg Alliance for Families, which was founded in 2001.

In the 17th legislative period of the state parliament Imhof was a member of the committee for labor and social affairs, youth, family and integration as well as the committee for health and care.

From February 1, 2014, Imhof was the patient and nursing officer of the Bavarian state government.

Imhof is a member of the University Council of the Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg , a member of the Bavarian State Health Council of Bavaria , a member of the Board of Trustees of the Catholic Academy for Professions in Health and Social Work in Bavaria eV, Regensburg, an advisory board member of the fan project Nuremberg Society for Socially Responsible Innovation and Technology eV, Member of the board of directors of the Institute for Social and Cultural Work (ISKA) Nuremberg, member of the advisory board of DoKuPäd pedagogy for the documentation center Kreisjugendring Nürnberg-Stadt, member of the advisory board of Klasse.im.puls Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, member of the Bamberg Catholic family association.

Imhof has been a member of the board of trustees of Diakonie Neuendettelsau since October 1, 2018.
