State Health Council of Bavaria
The State Health Council of Bavaria (LGR) advises the Bavarian State Parliament and the Bavarian State Government in all questions of health care in accordance with the law on the State Health Council of July 24, 2007 . In doing so, he contributes to decision-making on health issues in Bavaria. It meets four times a year. The office of the State Health Council of Bavaria is located in the building of the Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care .
history
With the law on the creation of a State Health Council of August 12, 1953, the Bavarian State Health Council was founded as an independent health policy advisory body for those working in the field of health care. The State Health Council should not be a specialist body, but a health policy forum.
composition
The State Health Council is composed of 30 people and as many deputies who are experienced in the field of health care. 10 members are nominated by the parliamentary groups of the parties represented in the Bavarian state parliament according to their strength ratio for the duration of the legislative period of the state parliament. A further 20 members are proposed from bodies and associations active in the field of health care and confirmed by the state parliament:

- Bavarian Chamber of Pharmacists
- Bavarian State Medical Association
- Bavarian State Chamber of Psychological Psychotherapists and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists

- German Pension Insurance - Bavaria South
- Heilpraktikerverband Bayern eV
- Interest group of Bavarian medicinal products associations IBH e. V.
- Central municipal associations in Bavaria
- State working group for voluntary welfare in Bavaria
- Regional Association Southeast of the German Statutory Accident Insurance
- Medical faculties of the Bavarian universities
- Medical Association of Public Health Service Bavaria eV
- Patient advocate at the suggestion of the Bavarian Hospital Society
- Self-help coordination Bavaria and state working group self-help for people with disabilities and chronic diseases and their relatives in Bavaria eV with alternating representation
- VdK Landesverband Bayern e. V.
- Working group of health insurance associations in Bavaria
- Association of private health insurance V.
Close cooperation with the State Center for Health and the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety is to be sought in accordance with Section 3 of the Law on the State Health Council. The Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians are not members of the State Health Council.
