The OP: L Bastards are a Finnish music group from Helsinki , founded by Timo Kaukolampi, Mikko Viljakainen and Tuomo Puranen. The original name of the group was “Opel Bastards”, but Adam Opel AG requested a name change because of the rights it held to the “Opel” brand.

The music of OP: L Bastards is electronic, largely influenced by the sound of home computer music from the late 1980s and early 1990s - tracks like Sagittarius and Scorpius in particular are very reminiscent of the sound produced on the Commodore Amiga . There are also influences from the New Wave of the 80s. Some people associate the music with electroclash .
